dream with peahens

This is a quickie taken from a dream I had a few nights ago. The tree was full of peahens (female peacocks), and I’d pulled into a parking lot off the highway to take a look. I don’t remember most of the rest of that dream, so this must have been the only important thing. Peafowl up a tree. They don’t normally go in for trees, but there we are.

I drew this for myself, but submitted it as my first contribution over here. I do tend to draw every day, but not all of it is necessarily something I want to share on the web, and so I'm not sure how long I will participate. I am also, on a subtle psychological level, taken aback by the harsh imperative of the title. It's a petty excuse but things are sort of fragile with me right now and I don't know that marching to the wall at gun point, Create or die, swine! is something I need right now. Initially it seemed like a fun challenge, but this week I have Weird Headaches and nameless dread-stress and it seems like all my off time should be spent on happier things, not challenging things.

Happier things like the Fruit Loop. We took a drive out that way last weekend. Where has it been all my life? Just an hour east on I-84, that's where.
